The Voodoo Soul is the name the music comes out under. This site is where it lives, and where anyone else's music can get an honest listen.

The reading is done by Professor Swoopti Doo, a robot DJ on a hoverboard. He takes your words, the tempo, the key and where the energy sits, and he reads the song back to you — what it is about, the lines that are doing the work, how the writing moves. He is funny right up until he is not. He never pretends to hear something he wasn't given.

His number is for the song, read from its words. He gives each song with lyrics one number, on Adam's scale. He cannot hear the record and says so — he reads the words the way the genre means them to land, and scores the song they make. It is yours alone unless you choose to show it. When Adam listens himself and scores a song, that is “Adam's score” — and it always outranks the Professor's.

Adam writes the songs and builds the software. Those are the same job more often than people expect. The Professor exists because a working musician needs a straight answer more than another compliment, and because a website should do something, not just sit there.
